Neck Decor

Yesterday, I decided to try my hand at making a necklace.  The Good News: It looked awesome.  The Bad News: It didn't fit around my neck.  So today, I ended up taking it apart and redoing it.  This time, I made sure to measure the wire a few times before cutting it.  Check it.

Splendid, isn't it?  I think so.  In the past few weeks, I have successfully made 2 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets and a necklace.  Once I finally settle down in my new place, I'm going to stock up on some more materials and try to start up a jewelry business.

All Set

Yesterday, I finally got my hands on a bottle of clear polish for knot sealing.  So today, I finished up making matching bracelets for the 2 pairs of earrings that I made a couple of weeks ago.  This is the set that I made for myself.

And here's the set that I plan to sell.

Now, I just need to work on building a customer base.  Pretty sure my mother knows some people at her job who will be interested in buying my jewelry.  Fingers crossed.

More Earrings!

Today, I made 2 more pairs of earrings.  After realizing that I had used different colored pins when I made the first pair, I took them apart and used a couple of the beads from that to make a new pair.  This time, I made sure that both pins were the same color and added some leaf charms.  In my opinion, these came out a lot better than the first pair.

For the third pair, I went with some brighter colored beads.

Had a hard time with the bottom pieces.  But once I got that under control, I was able to finish the earrings without a problem.  Awesome job, if I do say so myself.  Next, I plan to make a matching bracelet.  Then, see if I can sell them as a set.

Not Too Shabby

Earlier today, I finally got around to opening my jewelry making kit.  After going over the instructions a few times, I attempted to make a pair of earrings.  Here's the end result.

Struggled a bit with looping the ends of the head and eye pins, but I think they came out pretty good.  Not bad for my first time.  With a little more practice, I should have a better handle on the looping.  If all goes well, I'll hopefully be able to start up my own jewelry making business.
