Poseurs Beware!

Hi-ho, readers.  Today, I want to talk about one of my favorite reads.  A webcomic called Poseur Patrol.  It's about the Gothic subculture in the 90s. This awesome webcomic was created by Merrily Duffy and Jaycee Baron.
 

They're the minds behind Black Fairy Press.  A publishing company that deals with comics for lovers of subculture, music, and fantasy.  I love reading Poseur Patrol.  I like how it pokes fun at poseurs, and promotes individuality within the goth scene.  Also, if you look hard enough, you'll find a few references to some popular films and songs.

 

I Live! *coughs*

Afternoon, readers.  A couple of weeks ago, my mother came down with a nasty bug and decided to share her germs with me.  So, I've spent the past week feeling like crap.  I'm starting to feel better.  However, I still have this lingering cough that I'm trying to get rid of.

What do you do when you're sick?  Have any home remedies that you'd like to share?  Would love to hear about some of them in the comments.

Today, Cafe LaStrange turns 2.  Can't believe I've managed to keep the blog up and running for this long.  It's also nice to see that there are people out there that are interested in the things that I post about.  So, again, thanks for taking the time to read my blog.  Here's to another year of bringing you more dark and awesome content.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Okay, it's not really breaking news.  But I got your attention, didn't I? XD  Anyway, just wanted to let you folks know that I've updated the "STUFF THAT I SUPPORT" page.  I've added 2 new links to some cool crowdfunding projects that could use your help.  The first link is for a web series called Gothic Homemaking with Aurelio Voltaire.  Here's a sneak peek.

Goodbye, 2015

This year has been a mixed bag of depression and disappointment.  It's been one letdown after another.  The only highlight of this year for me was The Black Rose naming my blog as one of the 20 Best Goth and Alternative Blogs of 2015.  So, I'll be looking at the coming new year with a bit of skepticism.

Merry After Christmas!

Evening, all.  Hope those that celebrated had a good Christmas.  Mine went well.  I got to enjoy good company, good food, and received some great gifts.  I'm not going to tell you about all the gifts that I got.  Instead, I'm just going to narrow it down to the top 5.

• Numbers 1-2: These sweet Loungefly purses.  I love accessories that involve skulls.

• Number 3: A How to Train Your Drag Queen t-shirt from Offworld Designs that was designed by Aurelio Voltaire.
• Numbers 4-5: Special Editions of Empire Records and The Craft on dvd.
