Hey, Readers.  Long time, no see.  Been nearly a damn year since I last posted.  Been feeling unmotivated and spent last year in and out of the hospital.  Hence my lack of blogging.  I'm feeling much better now.

So, what's been going on with me lately?  Besides the trips to the hospital, not much.  Just been simming and chilling on discord.  Between the simming and discord lurking, I did manage to finally put up some sugar skull earrings that I had made in my ko-fi shop.

You can get to my ko-fi shop by clicking here.  Before I end this post, I do have a music recommendation that I want to share.  I heard about this band from a podcast that I listen to.  They're a modern synth-pop band located in Austin, Texas called Night Drive.  I listened to a few of the band's songs so far and I'm really enjoying their sound.  Below, is a music video for one of their songs called Drones.

Time for Work

Hey, Readers.  Back with another band review.  This time, I was contacted by an industrial metal band from Germany called MIY.  Their sound blends industrial metal with darkwave, synth pop and future pop.  They messaged me about promoting and reviewing their newest album, Work.

I listened to it and, again, I was not disappointed.  This album fucking slaps.  In a pandemic-free world, there are definitely some tracks on here that I would request at a goth club.  Work releases on February 21.  Until then, you can hop on over to their bandcamp and listen to their previous album, The Seeking.

For Your Listening Pleasure

Hey, readers.  Hope you all had a good World Goth Day.  I spent mine trying to rid myself of the remainder of a cold that I have been suffering from for the last couple of weeks.  Now that I'm starting to feel a bit better, I wanted to offer up some cool music recommendations.

• Esoterik: A band from Oklahoma City driven by synth-pop and darkwave.
• As Angels Bleed: A gothic-symphonic metal band that hails from Sydney, Australia. The band is heavily influenced by vampire images and themes.
• Jess-O-Lantern: A New York artist with an acoustic horrorpunk sound.
• Night Spirit: Also from New York, Night Spirit is a power metal band with a supernatural twist.

Those are my recommendations.  Hope you find something that you like out of the list.  Now, back to trying to shake off my hacking cough.  Til next time.

Nemeses and Pretty Devils

Alt-Goth artist, Jules Marie is back with another musical offering.  A 5 track album titled "The Nemesis Effect."  This album contains the same dark, ambient sound as her previous works.  However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a couple of the tracks had a bit of a hard rock edge to them.  To get a free digital copy of "The Nemesis Effect," click the link below.

Go...ing Down

Over the weekend, Dr. Death and Mr. Vile released the first single from their upcoming album titled "The Pretty Little Devils."  The album is due to come out September 12.  Until then, have a listen to their new single, "Fall."

Binge-Listening and Binge-Reading

Yo-ho, folks.  Another weekend is coming to an end.  I finally found out how to turn the heat down in my motel room.  Now, it no longer feels like a sweat box.  Besides that, I spent the weekend doing some music binge-listening and webcomic binge-reading.

Spent all of Friday listening to Dr. Death and Mr. Vile.  This duo hails from Denver, Colorado.  Their music is an awesome mix of dark synth pop with a bit of an 80's overtone.  These guys are definitely worth a listen.  You can download their music for free on their bandcamp site.

I followed up my binge-listening with some binge-reading of the webcomic Mary Death.  It's about a girl named Mary who happens to be best friends with Death.  I spent  all of Saturday night reading through the entire archive.  Some strips will make you laugh.  Some will make you cry.  Others will leave you scratching your head.
