Something Crooked this Way Comes

Hey, readers.  Got a new recommendation for you.  My friend Tricia, the illustrator behind the "Midnight, Me & Bob Macabre" book, now has a Teespring shop.  It's called Crooked House Art.  In it, she sells items that feature her creepy designs.

Here are some examples of the items that you'll find in her shop.

If sporting items with creepy art on it is your thing, swing by Crooked House Art and pick up a few things.  Be the envy of your neighborhood. XD  If you enjoy reading my blog and want to show some love, consider donating to my Ko-fi page.  The link can be found in the header under "SUPPORT".  Til next time.

Note: I did not take any of the pictures shown in this blog post.  All images are from Crooked House Art.

UPDATE 7/27/20: Tricia closed her shop on Teespring and opened up a new one on Redbubble.

Getting There

Hey, readers.  Just wanted to give a little update on how my bedroom is coming along.  Instead of painting the entire room, my mother and I settled on just painting the back wall.  This time, I went with a darker shade of grey instead of a light/silvery grey.  Then, we hung the Bob Macabre prints and Halloween sign.

Once that was done, we decided to add some height to my Trick or Treat sign.

Since I still had some contact paper leftover, we wrapped a spare cardboard box with it and placed it on top of the dresser.  There was plenty of room for the sign, Jack and my new spooky tree.  Speaking of the tree, I got some good news and bad news.  First the bad news.  I wasn't able to fit any of my necklaces on it.

However, my ring and bracelets fit on it perfectly.

Til next time.

Frames and Spooky Goodies

Hey, readers.  In my last blog post, I talked about how my dresser and lamp shade got damaged during the move to the new apartment.  Along with those, the frames containing my Bob Macabre prints also got messed up.  The glass from both frames were smashed to pieces.  But thankfully, the prints were still intact.

I got some new frames last week, and spent yesterday putting the prints in them.

I was able to save the tissue paper that I had used in the old frames.  However, I came across a minor problem.  The print on the right used to be in a smaller frame.  With that one, the green tissue paper in the center was enough to cover the backing that came with it.  To cover up the exposed cardboard box brown backing of the new frame, I got out some more tissue paper and came up with this random pattern.

While I was doing that, my mother had returned from running errands.  During her run, she had stopped in a thrift store and got me a couple of Halloween-themed items to go with my dark bedroom decor.

When she showed them to me, I squeed with delight.  My favorite out of the two was the tree.  It looked like something I might be able to hang my necklaces off of. That would help with making some more room in my small jewelry box.  Til next time.

Perky Perks

Hello, readers.  Last night, I received my perks from the Midnight, Me & Bob Macabre indiegogo campaign.  Let's take a look shall we.  The first item that I pulled from the package was this t-shirt.  Check out my mad close-up skills. XD

The other items that I got were a small print and a poster.  Both signed by the book's author and illustrator.

To get your own copy of "Midnight, Me & Bob Macabre," click here.  The book can also be found on amazon.  Spookies beware!

New Link

Afternoon, all.  I just added a new link to my link list called "STUFF THAT I SUPPORT."  Under it, I'll be posting links to crowdfunding sites for projects that I'm really interested in and want to help make happen.  The first link that I posted is to an indiegogo campaign for the book "Midnight, Me & Bob Macabre."

From the Bob Macabre indiegogo page:

The book is about a little boy named Vex, who has violent night terrors riddled with "Spookies."  The night terrors are so bad that the Spookies invade his waking world.  On top of being taunted by the foul creatures, everyone refuses to believe Vex.  Even his Mum and little sister Twink think he's crazy...poor kid.

Enter Bob Macabre - infamous Spookie Wrangler and head of the Nightmare World.  Bob teaches Vex how to conquer his fears and defeat the Spookies through a series of adventures.

If you're interested and want to help make this book happen, head on over to the Midnight, Me and Bob Macabre indiegogo campaign page and donate.
